About the Organization
Avenir Telecom has more than 3000 employees and activates is six countries (France, Great Britain, Spain, Romania, Portugal and Bulgaria) and is listed at the Paris Stock Exchange.
The company entered the local market in 2004, by the acquisition of GlobalNet, established in 1998, the first mobile phones importer in Romania.
Initial Status
Avenir Telecom used a management application developed and maintained by an internal department. The application, called BMS (Business Management Systems) was maintained by an internal department rendering analysis and development activities. In addition, a dedicated application, developed by a local company was used for the financial-accounting activity.
There was a lack of reporting instruments needed by the managers, both on flexibility and timeliness level as well as on consistency level.
